ACTIVE vs. SLIPPING AWAY

Under “Users” section, Boomtrain provides more details about your subscribers. As default we group users under 4 different sections; All Users, Active, New, Slipping Away. In this section, We’re going to talk about Active and Slipping Away user segments.

Boomtrain Marketing Engine (BME) tracks viewed events automatically for each subscriber as a part of the personalization process. Those viewed events can be track down in order to see users interaction with the site.

Active ; System groups subscribers who have viewed event in the last 30 days. If we put that in another way, if user A checked a page/viewed content at least once in the last 30 days time period, User A will be in Active group. You can simply create campaigns targeting that group.

Slipping Away ; System groups subscribers who DO NOT have viewed event in the last 30 days. If we put that in another way, if user A has not checked a page/viewed content at least once in the last 30 days time period, User A will be in Slipping Away group. BME identifies the list of users who needs re-engagement automatically. You can target those group in order to re-engage them with your site by creating a campaign. Here is a simple example.. When User A falls in Slipping Away (after 30 days), you can create a triggered “We missed you” message. You can put a special message, add discount coupons, anything that will attract users..
